Training Placement Officer

The Training & Placement Officer (TPO) at Imperial College of Engineering plays a pivotal role in guiding students toward successful career opportunities. The office of the TPO acts as a bridge between the institution and the corporate world, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet industry expectations and recruitment standards.

The Training & Placement Officer is responsible for planning and executing campus recruitment drives, coordinating with companies, organizing interviews, and facilitating internship opportunities. Continuous interaction with recruiters, HR professionals, and industry representatives helps in building strong corporate relationships and expanding placement opportunities for students.

A key focus of the TPO office is skill development and career readiness. Structured training programs are conducted throughout the academic year, including aptitude training, technical skill enhancement, communication skills development, group discussion practice, resume writing workshops, and mock interview sessions. These initiatives are designed to build confidence and improve the employability of students across all departments.

The TPO also guides students in exploring career paths in core engineering sectors, IT industries, government organizations, startups, and higher education opportunities. Personalized counseling sessions help students identify their strengths and align their career goals accordingly.

In addition to placements, the Training & Placement Officer coordinates industrial visits, expert lectures, pre-placement talks, and collaborative industry projects to provide practical exposure. Internship programs are encouraged to help students gain real-time work experience before graduation.

At Imperial College of Engineering, the Training & Placement Officer is committed to creating strong industry connections, ensuring maximum placement opportunities, and preparing students to become confident, skilled, and industry-ready professionals.
